​In response to the textile industry's growing need for reliable environmental impact data, tex.tracer and bAwear Score initiated the Footprint Benchmark Pilot. This project aimed to develop a standardised approach for measuring and comparing the ecological footprints of textile products. Key findings highlighted the benefits of renewable energy use, recycled fibres, and sea freight in reducing environmental impact. Encouraged by the pilot's success, plans are underway to expand the initiative in Q3 2025 to include more product categories and industry participants, further promoting sustainability and transparency in the sector
